"Ban EU users" is providing a free service in exchange for a right to advertise any products that are legal in Latvian jurisdiction we deem appropriate on a "blocked" page. That is the page EU users will see while attempting to access your website. You shall not attempt to use this service in any way that circumvents the intended functionality and prevents users from seeing this notice. "Ban EU users" reserves a right to block your website without any notice and, by doing so, effectively remove a ban on EU users if you happen to breach these conditions.
"Ban EU users" does not offer any legal advice nor does it offer a full protection from EU regulators and shall not be liable in case of a fine being placed on your website or any other damages to you or your business. It serves one function - banning EU visitors by their IP address. Advice provided on a homepage is not, by any means, a full guide on GDPR compliance. Simply installing "Ban EU users" on your website does not exempt you from compliance, you still have to make sure you don't hold any personal data of any EU users. If you want to be completely safe from being fined, please, consult with privacy specialists and lawyers well versed in GDPR. There are no easy solutions when it comes to giant, far reaching regulations.
"Ban EU users" uses manually generated cookies to create exemptions from being blocked from your own website. You should not use this to access websites blocked in EU that aren't yours.
In case of "Ban EU users" service outage, no users, including ones accessing your website from the EU, will be blocked from visiting your website. This shouldn't be a problem since the regulation does make exemption for "accidental or small scale" data collection from EU users. Nevertheless, it is your responsibility to check if the service works as intended once in a while. "Ban EU users" shall not be liable for any fines or damages resulting in service outage or malfunction.
"Ban EU users" was created and is operated by Aivar Kavshevich, a self employed person from Latvia (EU), in my spare time. You can reach me at
